Chris is a session drummer, producer, recording engineer, solo artist, label owner and collaborator based in Berlin.

As a session drummer, he is known for his genre-bending and stylistically versatile approach: dynamic, expressive and always musical. With a focus on elegant pocket, vintage drum tones and the organic use of electronics, Chris has made a name for himself across a wide range of contexts, from pop, hip-hop and singer-songwriter music to jazz, experimental and electronic music.

Through his private tracking and writing studio, The Tracking Farm, Chris offers remote and in-person recording sessions for artists, producers and composers.

He has toured, recorded and collaborated with a wide range of internationally acclaimed artists and producers, including:

As a producer and sound designer, Chris has founded the creative agency chhhhhh, which has collaborated with major brands such as Mercedes Benz, Drive Now, Nokia, VIU Eyewear, Deutsche Bahn, ARD Television, NDR Television, WIRED, Goethe Institute, Karla Otto, GAP, Zalando and many more.

His electronic solo project holymachines is focusing on abstract electronic music, using Sunhouse Sensory Percussion and Max/MSP to manipulate samples and found sounds to finally reassemble them as bold new sonic gestures. His audiovisual debut album IMAGE VERSION is featuring work by video artist and motion designer AQUIET.

As a curator, he is active as the co-founder of Berlin-based audiovisual label AVERAGE NEGATIVE and experimental concert series LIQUID SOUNDS, both focused on genre-free, creative music.
